Where Our Story Began
D. Fong’s Chinese Cuisine opened in Savage on July 11th, 1996, led by David Fong, Jr., continuing a family journey that began decades earlier. His parents, David Sr. and Helen Fong, started their dream in 1958 with a small carry-out that grew into a Bloomington landmark. That spirit of perseverance, family teamwork, and pride shaped every generation. D. Fong’s of Savage proudly carries that same legacy forward.

Our food reflects generations of experience and respect for classic Chinese cooking styles. Inspired by the recipes and techniques passed down through the Fong family, each dish is prepared with care and consistency. The focus has always been on balanced flavors, quality ingredients, and satisfying meals. It’s comfort food built on decades of learning and love for the craft.

Donations used for National Night Out, Safe Driver Program, support items for families and children affected by emergencies, and other expenses not normally covered by the Savage PD budget.
